Among the many notable achievements of the last group of Bantu immigrants was the creation of political states, or perhaps the introduction of centralized methods of presidency. They set up the Maravi Confederacy about 1480. In the 16th century the confederacy encompassed the bigger element of what's now central and southern Malawi, and, at the height of its impact, inside the seventeenth century, its program of presidency impacted peoples from the adjacent areas of existing-day Zambia and here Mozambique.
